Cards, not a mid-run evolution
The dinosaur you control is the card you equipped. Rarity labels used in a September 2026 collection note are Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Epic. Most of the roster is described as Base variants, from small raptors and Compsognathus-scale sprinters up through Spinosaurus, Giganotosaurus, and several T-Rex variants. Themed cards sit outside those base names. Examples given from footage and reward text include Mecha Pteranodon, Spectral Imperatus Rex, Frozen Mosasaurus, and Undead Dread Gigantosaurus.
An older database used a different ladder: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, and Premium, plus a Normal-to-Shadow craft. Those labels conflict with the card rarities above, and the craft ladder is not in the footage-based run guide. Species pages on this site therefore skip a single rarity letter when the sources disagree.
How to change dinosaurs
- Return to the lobby. The arena does not offer a swap.
- Open Swap Dino and scroll the unlocked cards.
- Equip one. The lobby character changes model immediately.
- Enter the green portal. You still start at Size 0.
What the Dinodex is for
Discovering species fills the Dinodex. Codes are the documented way to add specific named cards without finding them in a run. Daily Rewards can also hand over a card; Solarjaw Tarbosaurus is cited as an early example. The official text tells players to collect unique species and climb the ranks toward apex predator. It does not publish a completion count.
Names that are easy to merge
- Emberjaw, Gladejaw, and Solarjaw are three Tarbosaurus names.
- Razorback Spinosaurus and Tidefang Spinosaurus are separate cards. Capisaurus shows up as a variant suffix.
- Jurassic T-Rex and Skyrend T-Rex are separate reward names.
- Dread Giganotosaurus and Dread Gigantosaurus are spellings used for the same reported giant. Undead Dread Gigantosaurus is written as a themed card.
- Verdant Ankylosaurus - Ninja, Dimetrodon - Coral, and Xenoraptor - Gilded are variants, not extra species pages.
Owned cards stay useful after a code expires. The code list is the record of which string paid which card.
