The death menu
Size is the whole fight. When a bigger dinosaur eats you, the game prints "You were eaten by" plus that player's name. Two Gem options appear. Both are optional.

Which button is worth it
KEEP SIZE is the cheaper button, and Size is the progress that takes the longest to rebuild. Use it when the run was already long. Skip it when you had only just left the portal; 35 Gems is more than that short run is worth if codes and daily rewards are your Gem supply.
REVENGE costs twice as much and spends the Gems on a rematch rather than on keeping the number. Take it only when you still have a Size lead on that player and you actually want the fight. It does not raise your Size by itself.
Where Gems come from
Late September 2026 code lists still show 15,000 Gems on AERIAL and WEATHER and 20,000 Gems on HUGE150K. Daily Rewards also pay Gems. Those are the documented incomes. A code that has already been redeemed on your account will not pay again.
What not to assume
Shop chests, Relic loot boxes, and a full fossil upgrade shop are described on older guide pages with prices this site has not been able to confirm. Buy only the buttons that show a Gem price in your lobby. The two prices that are explicitly documented are 35 and 70 on the death menu.
