What a run is
Be Dino, by Nibblebyte, is a Roblox PvP survival experience. The official description puts it in one line: eat or be eaten, hunt food, grow, collect dinosaurs, and steal food from other dinosaurs. A run is the arena trip. The lobby is safe. The arena is not.
Before you enter
- Claim the lobby Rewards ladder. Unclaimed days can be taken together, and the payouts include Gems, XP Boosts, and dinosaur cards.
- Redeem any code you have not used. Each code works once per account.
- Open Swap Dino and equip the card you want. The lobby model changes when the equip sticks.
- Walk into the green portal. You spawn at Size 0.
You cannot swap dinosaurs in the arena. If you want a different card, finish or leave the run and use Swap Dino in the lobby.
How Size works
Food on the map raises the Size counter. Smaller dinosaurs are worth more than scattered food once you are large enough to eat them. You can eat a player whose Size is lower than yours. A dinosaur with a higher Size can eat you.
Gameplay footage of a T-Rex run describes the same loop: eat meat, watch the leaderboard, and start hunting only after you are above the smaller names. Growing also slows movement, so early speed matters less once you are huge.
A September 2026 writeup, citing in-game footage, says an uninterrupted run can pass 60,000 Size. That is an observed ceiling example, not a guaranteed target. One cited death was a dinosaur at about 7,830 Size eating a run that had barely started.
When to run
Red damage indicators flash before you are eaten. That is the cue to break off. The death screen names the attacker with a "You were eaten by" message.
| Moment | What to do |
|---|---|
| Size 0, first minute | Eat every food pickup in reach. Do not pick a fight. |
| You see a higher Size | Leave that feeding spot. The jungle is crowded; the Tundra is the documented relocation. |
| You outsize nearby players | Hunt them. Player eats are worth more than map food. |
| Red damage flashes | Stop chasing and get distance. |
After the run ends
You can restart from zero for free. Spending Gems on KEEP SIZE or REVENGE is optional and is covered in the death guide. Neither option is required to play.
What this guide does not claim
Some older pages describe a 25-copy craft ladder from Normal to Shadow, and server events every 30 minutes called King of the Hill and Egg Hunt. Those systems are not in the September 2026 lobby-and-Size walkthrough that cites footage, so they are not steps here. If you see a craft button or an event timer in your own session, use what the game is showing you.
